About Us
How do you turn a good
idea into online success?
Overview
The Working Group approach is straightforward: listen to the client, collaborate on a solution, adapt to change, and enjoy it.
In fact, enjoying it is essential to our business plan. It motivates us to put a real stake in the process and product of our industry. It means that by our very nature we’re plugged in to online culture, connected with other experts, and able to invest that knowledge and network in the jobs we accept.
As we see it, the Web is still young. It continues to offer enormous potential for business and community. If you’ve got a good idea, call us, and let's grab a coffee.
Our Values
Five main values that define who we are and how we work:
-
Inspiration
Beyond money or status, we’re inspired by the people we work with and the ideas that drive them. When you engage The Working Group, your inspiration becomes ours – we work together towards an achievable goal that pays off professionally and personally.
-
Communication
We keep a friendly, open studio that encourages creative thinking and group discussion. To get the best out of everyone we eschew hierarchy, and welcome debate. From the client’s perspective, we’re easy to reach, eager to collaborate, receptive to change, and up-front with billing and process.
-
Expertise
We’ve been involved in the online community since the mid nineties (which is almost ancient). Over the years, we’ve cultivated a very high level of consulting and programming capability. Recognizing how quickly things can change on the Web, we ride on accepted coding standards to ensure your project is designed and built not just for today, but for a future of business and technological change.
-
Process driven
The Working Group has completed enough projects to know the value of a solid process. We’ve also done this long enough to know that no one process works in every situation. For more thoughts on this, check out how we work or look into some of our recent blog posts.
-
Collaboration
The Working Group doesn’t have to be a one-stop shop. We delight in bringing a range of outside professionals to the table. Over the years we’ve collaborated with top designers, photographers, illustrators, animators, strategists, copywriters, and editors. Because we remain true to our word, and always play nice, we’ve developed a great network of professionals who we can call on when the need arises. And if you have a ringer that you want involved on the project, we're happy to team up.
Anil Patel, co-founder and Executive Director of the Framework Foundation says:
The Working Group has developed a very impressive modeling process that has exceeded the expectations of Framework Foundation. Framework Foundation is a small but growing organization with limited experience and skills in systems design. The Working Group was essential in making Framework Foundation a big hit with our volunteers, partner volunteer agencies and key-stakeholders. I would recommend the Working Group to all other NGOs looking for information technology/information management solutions.
